Before the Interview
Plan ahead, allow plenty of time to get
to the interview. Know location, directions and where to park, even
if you have to take a "dry run" the day before.
First
impressions are lasting ones. Dress professionally and
conservatively.
During the Interview
-- Arrive early (5-10 minutes). --
SMILE and maintain direct eye contact. -- Complete your
application neatly and thoroughly. -- Be
enthusiastic, but don't talk too much. LISTEN,
too. -- Never use the word "no" in an interview. -- Never talk
against a former employer. -- Prepare yourself to answer
questions. -- Whatever your impression of the
interview, thank the interviewer for their time
and courtesy. Let them know you want the job.

What is your salary
requirement?
BAD: "Uh...what are you paying?"
BETTER:
(Mention a range) "I was hoping for something between $26,000 to
$28,000."
BEST: "Salary is often an awkward subject. What
range would you consider fair for my background?"
